Louise’s wedding day makeup is a perfect example of why I always say the trial is SO important.

At Louise’s trial, her eyes were absolutely streaming! Her sensitive eyes were reacting to the dust from eyeshadow and face powders, and we were constantly wiping away tears 🥹

So I told Louise to start taking antihistamines in the few days leading up to the wedding, rather than just taking one on the morning of the wedding. For some people, taking them on the day just isn’t enough to get things under control.

And VOILÀ… it worked! 👏🏼

Her eyes behaved perfectly on the wedding day and her makeup stayed exactly where it needed to.

So if you’re a bride with sensitive or watery eyes and you’re worried about your makeup running, this is a little tip worth knowing.

This one was pretty special.

I’ve been doing bridal makeup for 15+ years, but moments like this are still the reason I absolutely love my job.

The before.
The makeup.
The nerves.
The excitement.
And then that moment everything suddenly feels very real.

But today I did!

Once my bride was ready, I walked her down the aisle for her first look with her husband-to-be before the ceremony.

I’ve been lucky enough to work on 800+ weddings, but there are still moments that are completely new to me.

And this was definitely one of them. 🥹

Because apparently spending eight hours on my feet doing makeup isn’t enough. 😂

It helps me clear my head, switch on, get my energy up and start the day feeling productive before I’ve even picked up a brush.

Then I’m ready for a full day of bridal makeup, creating beautiful looks, blending everything properly and making sure every detail is right.

Then bed at 7pm for the next…

Jess went for a little more impact at her trial & although she absolutely loved it, I could see on the wedding morning that she still wanted that wow factor, just a little softer.

So I lightened her brows, softened a couple of details & kept that gorgeous smoky eye just to the lash line.

She told me she trusted me… and that meant everything. 🤍

Her reaction when she saw herself said it all.
She LOVED it — so much so, she cried. 🥹

Honestly, I just don’t feel the need to.
For every wedding, I carry 20+ different foundations with me, different finishes, textures & coverage levels, because every single skin & every bridal party is different.

Whether you want barely-there skin, a skin tint, light coverage, medium coverage or full coverage… dewy, natural, satin or completely matte… I want to be able to choose exactly what’s going to work best for YOU.

For me, it’s not about putting every bride through the same airbrush system. It’s about having the knowledge, products & choice to completely customise your makeup to your skin, your preferences & how you want to look on your wedding day.

So no, I don’t offer airbrushing.

I’d rather have 20+ foundations in my kit & create your perfect skin from scratch. 🤍

The right eyeshadow shape, contour, lash style, liner placement & highlighting can completely transform the appearance of the eyes without looking heavy or overdone.

Every eye shape is different, so the technique should always be tailored to you—not copied from a trend.

Mature? Absolutely not. 😂

I’m a little childish, I love a joke, & I’ll happily make a fool of myself if it means my brides are relaxed, laughing & having the best morning ever.
